Let me use my ESP this is a ve30de motor with aluminum valve cover.Valve covers gaskets come with spark plug rings, were properly installed? The only thing that would cause problems is clogged up PVC or to much engine wear resulting in blow by causing oil to be forced into the spark plug holes. You were ready to put the 16 year old max out to pasture weren't you?
