My Sims Nintendo DS question?

I've used up all of the stuff given by Marie in the highlands, and i've covered all of the bits of worn-away gr - but it STILL says it needs more maintenance?! What am I supposed to do!?! Same for the forest! Please help - it's so frustrating!
